nothing you do is ever insignificant.”

CELEBRATING - 100 YEARS

Though most of us have spent a lifetime cherishing Oreo cookies,

did you know that since their introduction in 1912,

the Oreo cookie has become the best selling cookie in the U.S.?

The shape and design has not changed much until 1975 when

Nabisco released their DOUBLE STUFF Oreos.

Over 362 billion Oreo cookies have been sold since they

were first introduced in 1912 making it the best selling

cookie of the 20th century.

The Decorah Eagles are starting another family. The female has now laid 3 eggs and she or the male now occupy the nest. The webcam is up and running 24-7. I watched last year as all 3 eaglets survived to leave the nest. There is a tracking device on one of them and you can see where it has traveled since leaving the nest. A lot of information on the site. So, if you would like to watch, they are there. Amazing what the birds weather in raising a family. Several times now the female and nest have been snow covered. Over 10,000 people were logged on earlier when I took a peek. Mom was sleeping.

The eagle - just a awesome bird.

Spice Up Your Burgers:

Need a quickie idea for making a tastier hamburger?

When mixing the burger, just add a bit of chunky salsa to it.

This will give it added flavor with the peppers, onions and tomatoes.

A package of dry onion soup mix works wonders on that burger too!

Saving $$$ on Scouring Pads:

When you buy a package or box, cut the pads in half.

The half - size will be just fine to scour most cleaning jobs.

You will stretch the package and save money by doing this.

Have Too Many Jars of Jams and such in the Fridge?

I don't know about you but I sure have this issue with pickle jars!

Get a clear plastic shoebox often found at the Dollar Store or a yard sale.

Place all the jars inside. You will have all in one place in the

refrigerator. Just pull out to select the one you want.

Reuse Those Glass Jars

Instead of tossing small glass pickle, jam and such jars

into the recycling bin, clean and resue them to store

everything including leftover garlic or onions.

Use a empty clean dry ketchup bottle as a

pancake dispenser.
