You have to love a nation that celebrates its
independence every July 4, not with a parade of
guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White
House in a show of strength and muscle, but with
family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the
potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from
happiness. You may think you have overeaten,
but it is patriotism.

I love inspirational quotes.

They are powerful nuggets of

wisdom condensed into 1-2 lines.

Whenever I read them,

I am inspired to take action.

"A single sunbeam is enough to

 drive away many shadows"

-- St. Francis of Assisi

It wasn't the reward that mattered or the

recognition you might harvest. It was your

depth of commitment, your quality of service,

the product of your devotion -- these were the

things that counted in life. When you gave

purely, the honor in giving, and

that was honor enough.
--Captain Scott O'Grady

Treat people as if they were what

they ought to be, and help them

become what they are capable of being.
--Goethe

 A Note From Me

Sorry for no publication on the 3rd. Volunteering and a medical

appointment with Dad took up the majority of my day and time

just did not allow me to play on the computer. So, I am sending

this out on the eve of the 4th to wish you all a wonderful and

safe and fun-filled 4th of July. I had so many thing to share for my

4th page, but still have them saved and I will continue to be very

patriotic the remainder of the week with my pages. Can we really

have too much patriotism? I think not! There will be no publication

on the 4th - so until Thursday, be safe, be aware of everything

and everyone around you and do join me on Thursday.

Till then --

HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU
