Love’s Wonderful
Journey
Having turned off
the light she then saw
moonbeams dancing
across the room
...bringing to
mind that long ago time
in the moonlight
with her future groom.
She'd known him
most of her life
and had
loved him much like a
brother.
Suddenly all had
changed and she now
loved him
with a love like no
other!
Having reached her
middle years
she felt her
chance for love was gone,
and now that her
Dad had died,
she'd spend
the rest of her life alone.
Little did she
know, in His wisdom,
God had for her
another plan.
Now was the time
she would love,
and
be loved
by a wonderful
man!
So in the bright
wintery moonlight,
they would go for
long walks,
stopping
occasionally to embrace,
but mostly what
they did was talk.
As they walked
with joined hands
stuffed in
his pocket to keep them warm,
he promised to
love her all his days
and
do all he could keep her from
harm.
They spoke of
life...where they had been,
and where
it was taking them.
All the while she
marveled at the fact
...she loved and
was loved by him!
No, she wouldn’t
trade those years
...not for all the
world’s money...
years spent
traveling with him,
on Love’s
Wonderful Journey!
