Perry Como received the Recording Industry Association of America's first Gold Record for "Catch A Falling Star" in 1958. More recently the song, Como's last hit was featured in two popular movies - The Princess Diaries and Love Actually.

Future Nobel Prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. Mothers of poor test-takers take heart: The man all would agree was a genius failed the history, language, and geography portions of his university entrance exam.

The closest finish in NASCAR history occurred during the Darlington 500 in 2003. Winner Ricky Craven crossed the finish line only .002 seconds before driver Kurt Busch.

Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather hit theaters in 1972. It was daughter Sofia Coppola's first on-screen performance - she was just three weeks old when she played baby Michael Rizzi during his baptism.

The animated adventure Ice Age had theatergoers laughing in 2002. It's no wonder: The flick's "sub-zero heroes" - a wooly mammoth, ground sloth and saber-toothed tiger - were voiced by comedians Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary.

I have a lot to say today it would seem!

I do hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine this time around

could have been better with including a Memorial service for a

dear family friend and bad storms that hit us last night. The two

just kinda drained me, but I woke this morning feeling good that

I attended the Memorial service to celebrate his life. I am thankful

also that we managed to keep our electric and no damage from

the storms, but oh my! Our yard was white with pea-sized hail

and we got a lot of rain, enough to give us our own little lake

in front of our house. The whole roadway and our driveway are

under water in front. By the day's end, it will go back to being

normal, it usually does. Here is hoping that this is not a preview

of what our Spring and Summer will be with terrible storms.

Now, I would like to take a minute here to thank a friend I have

recently met thanks to another dear friend on here. The new

friend is making me these wonderful head tag headers and

tag with my updated face. She does a super duper job and has

only been doing this for a few months! She is a quick learner.

If you like them, drop her a line in my guest book. Her name

is Renate. Thank you again Loreen for another wonderful

friendship here on the Internet. Now! I will quit rambling

and wish you all a good day. Join me tomorrow as I gladly will

welcome in the season of Spring. Be safe, be always aware of

everything and everyone around you. Till tomorrow,
