Just living is not enough...
One must have sunshine,
freedom, and a little flower.

Every day is a new page just waiting
to be written.

Never take someone for granted. Hold
every person close to your heart because you
might wake up one day and realize that you have
lost a diamond while you were too busy
collecting stones.
~ Unknown
Keep on beginning and failing. Each time
you fail,
start all over again, and you will grow stronger
until you
have accomplished a purpose ... not the
one you began with perhaps, but
one
you'll be glad to remember.
~ Anne Sullivan Macy
Be your best self and not an imitation of someone else.
find your strength and use them in a positive way.
Don't listen to those who judge the choices you make.
Travel the road that you have chosen and don't
look back with regret.
~ Unknown
Remember,
people will judge you by your actions,
not your intentions. You may
have a heart
of gold - but so does a hard-boiled egg.

The
great composer does not set to work because
he is inspired, but becomes
inspired because he
is working. Beethoven, Wagner, Bach and Mozart
settled down day after day to the job in hand with
as much regularity as
an accountant settles down
each day to his figures. They didn't waste
time
waiting for inspiration.
~Ernest Newman
Sip a coke!
When anxiety builds, reach for your favorite regular or diet soda.
A recent study found that people who drank a caffeinated beverage
before entering a pressure-filled situation performed better and
reported half the worry of those who drank a decaffeinated
one. That's because caffeine improves your mood and energy
and sharpens focus.
Chew Gum!
Research shows that chewing gum lowers anxiety by nearly 17% in mere
minutes. Credit goes to the chewing motion, which sends a soothing message
to the brain and prompts a drop in levels of the stress
hormone cortisol.

February 7—The Full Snow Moon
Historically,
Native Americans kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names
to the recurring full Moons. Some tribes called this Moon the full
Hunger Moon because hunting would become very difficult. See our February Moon Guide for more Moon folklore, fun facts, best days, and the next full Moon.
CHOCOLATE DIPPED HEART COOKIES
1 Heat oven to 350°F. Remove half of cookie dough from wrapper; refrigerate remaining dough until needed. Sprinkle about 3 tablespoons of the flour onto work surface; coat sides of half of dough with flour. With rolling pin, roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness, adding additional flour as needed to prevent sticking.
2 With floured 3-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out hearts. Gently brush excess flour from hearts; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Repeat with remaining half of dough.
3
Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until light golden brown.
Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool
completely, about 15 minutes.
4
In 1-quart saucepan, heat chocolate chips and
shortening over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and
smooth. Remove from heat. Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate,
allowing excess chocolate to drip off; place on waxed paper-lined
cookie sheets.
(optional) Sprinkle with colored sugar.
