“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more.

If you concentrate on what you don't have,

you will never, ever have enough”

~ Oprah Winfrey

“People are like stained-glass windows.

They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,

but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty

is revealed only if there is a light from within.”

~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

“Accept what life offers you and try to drink from every cup.

All wines should be tasted; some should only be sipped,

but with others, drink the whole bottle.”

~ Paulo Coelho

“But if everything was always smooth and perfect,

you'd get too used to that, you know? You have to have

a little bit of disorganization now and then. Otherwise,

you'll never really enjoy it when things go right.”

~ Sarah Dessen

“Real life is a funny thing you know.
In real life saying the right thing, at the right moment is beyond crucial.
So crucial in fact, that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.  But lately what I’ve began to fear more than that, is letting the moment pass with saying anything. I think you deserved to look back on your life without this chorus of resounding voices saying, I could of but it’s too late now. So there’s a time for silent, and there a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say. You’ll know it.
I don’t think you should wait.
I think you should speak now.”

~ Taylor Swift

“Stories you read when you're the right age never quite leave you.

You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called.

Sometimes you'll forget precisely what happened, but if a

story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places

in your mind that you rarely ever visit.”

~ Neil Gaiman

“The more you praise and celebrate your life,

the more there is in life to celebrate.”

~ Oprah Winfrey

“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this

very moment is the only one you know you have for sure. ”

~ Oprah Winfrey

Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Tenders

  • 8 fresh sage leaves
  • 8 chicken tenders (about 1 1/4 pounds)
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1/2 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil

  1. Place a sage leaf on each chicken tender, then wrap each with a bacon slice. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. Add tenders, sage side down, and cook until fat is rendered and bacon is browned, about 6 minutes. Flip and cook until tenders are cooked through, 6 minutes. With tongs, transfer to a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet to drain.

“Alone we can do so little;

together we can do so much”

~ Helen Keller
