Cheese
Store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil.
It will stay fresh much longer and not mold!

Peppers
Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating.  Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.

Brownies
For a cool brownie treat, make brownies as directed. Melt Andes mints
in double broiler and/or nuke in microwave 4 about 10 seconds, then
pour over warm brownies. Let set for a wonderful minty frosting.

I quote others to better express myself

Friends are angels who lift us to our feet
when our wings have trouble
remembering how to fly.

Love doesn’t demand to be loved back,
but it doesn’t mean it exists to be taken for granted.
~ Unknown

I would rather make mistakes in kindness
and compassion than work miracles
in unkindness and hardness.

~ Mother Teresa

Every-time you smile at someone,
it is an action of love,
a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
 ~ Mother Teresa

Peace is not something you wish for;
it's something you make, something you do,
something you are, and something you give away.
~ Robert Fulghum

Be aware of wonder. Live a balanced life.
Learn some and think some and draw and
paint and sing and dance and play
and work every day some.
~ Robert Fulghum

The adventure of life is to learn. The purpose of life is to grow.

The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is

to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The opportunity

of life is to serve. The secret of life is to dare. The spice

of life is to befriend. The beauty of life is to give.

The joy of life is to love.

~William Arthur Ward

Every day is a gift,
a chance to try again,
to do something better,
or differently .....

Here's the story. Back in 1970, Marian McQuade, a West Virginia housewife, came up with the idea of a day set aside to encourage families to visit their elderly relatives. With a firm resolve to make it happen, she began lobbying policymakers. McQuade got through to her Senators, Jennings Randolph and Robert Byrd, who introduced a resolution to make Grandparents Day a national holiday. It took a while to reach the White House, but finally, in 1978, the resolution declaring National Grandparents Day as the first Sunday after Labor Day, was signed into law by President Jimmy Carter.

Have a special Grandparents Day!

I think today's song is powerful with its words
of love, peace, etc. I had not heard this song
until my friend Loreen introduced it to me in
our music group. It is one I will be downloading
to put on my bike-riding playlist. It expresses faith,
love, hope & more - something I think we
all need and most of our time - want ......

Here is hoping that each and every one of you have
a good weekend. Nothing special planned on my end.
But, always something to do around the house which
I do not mind. I love our home and taking care
of it - plus I want to get my Fall decorations out,
it is getting to be that time.

Please share my pages with others. Friends,
family, groups, organizations, everyone.
Spread the inspiration please! Do join me
next week as I will have a special page for
9-11 -- as we remember always.

Good Luck to our Buckeyes on
Saturday as they take on UCF in the
2nd home game of the season in the horseshoe!

Remember to be safe, be always aware of
everything and everyone around you.
Last - but not least, I do wish
you love and as always ....
